Pusha T goes to what he knows best, the gritty streets in his new video “Nosetalgia.” Pyrex P heads west to Compton, roaming L.A.’s inner city in the one-take black-and-white visual. Eventually, Kendrick Lamar appears and joins Pusha for his evening late-night stroll, delivering his venomous verse as the G.O.O.D. Music MC follows behind.
With a little under two weeks left, Pusha T treats fans with another record off his forthcoming My Name Is My Name album. Pusha T sets the tone, claiming the highest of thrones when it comes to street gospel over production by Joaquin Phoenix and Kanye West. Teaming up with VMAN, the Virginia-native drops a performance visual art piece to promote his new record.
Arriving October 8 via G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam Records, the 12-track LP includes contributions from Kanye West, Rick Ross, Pharrell, Kendrick Lamar, The-Dream, Kendrick Lamar, Hudson Mohawke, Joaquin Phoenix, and more.

With Self Made 3 just around the corner, the lone R&B soldier on the team, Omarion, is gearing up to release his single off the project. The video for “Know You Better,” with Pusha T and Fabolous, was just shot and in this clip, you can see some of the making of the video with commentary from Maybach O himself, and Pyrex P.
Pusha T spoke very highly of his upcoming album, “My Name Is My Name,” during a recent interview, and despite having heavy competition from the likes of “Magna Carta Holy Grail,” “Born Sinner,” “The Gifted,” and “Yeezus,” Pusha is confident that his album will be viewed as “the best album of the year.”
“No, no, it’s not gonna drop on the 16th; we’re gonna push it back a month. There’s been a lotta, lotta music coming out… But at the end of the day, man, I still stand my ground. That’s politics and logistics. My album is the best album of the year… I think the streets are going to have a classic hip-hop album. ‘My Name is My Name’ is definitely the hardest album that’s going to come out this year, for sure.”
How do you think Pusha’s album will compare to the likes of his competitors?
Also, he has delayed its release date by one month, pushing it back from its original July 16th release date.
Over the weekend, G.O.O.D Music spitter, Pusha T held the grand opening for his new clothing boutique “Creme” in his hometown of Virginia. King Push is no stranger to the fashion game, running the Play Cloths brand with his brother Malice, and being one of hip hops tastemakers, it was only right that he built a place where the people can come get their swag right in some of his favorite high-end streetwear brands. The store carries labels like BBC,MCM, PYREX Vision, Just Don, and much more. Pusha even put some footwear in the mix, giving the shop a nice variety of kicks, and also a few limited releases.

All eyes were on MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Sunday night as Hot 97 Summer Jam returned this year for its 20th anniversary. The main stage brought plenty of moments and unknown surprises all evening. Joe Budden, Miguel, Wale, Chris Brown, Fabolous, Wu-Tang Clan, 2 Chainz, A$AP Rocky, Kendrick Lamar, and French Montana headlined this year’s spectacle.
Joe Budden pulled out fellow Slaughterhouse member Joell Ortiz and R&B singer Tank during his set. Miguel followed with J. Cole and Mariah Carey, while Wale kept it solo until the end with Meek Mill. Chris Brown added west coast flavor with Sean Kingston, as Brooklyn’s own Fabolous showed hometown pride with Lil’ Kim (Foxy Brown was also to appear). Wu-Tang Clan took fans back to the first Summer Jam with rap classics, and 2 Chainz followed up with Nicki Minaj plus the premiere of “Feds Watching.”
A$AP Rocky mobbed out with Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, A$AP Ferg, Trinidad James, and ScHoolboy Q, leading into Kendrick Lamar’s m.A.A.d city mayhem. Papoose made an unscheduled appearance before French Montana closed out the night with Rick Ross and Lil’ Wayne.
Miguel had the honor serving at Summer Jam’s first R&B act of the night. As ladies crooned to hits off his Kaleidoscope Dream sophomore album, females in attendance had much more to scream about as J. Cole joined the stage to perform his Born Sinner single “Power Trip.”
The “Adorn” singer didn’t stop there. After teasing fans on Twitter early Sunday morning, Mariah Carey returned to Summer Jam joining Miguel to perform their “#Beautiful” collaboration
Fabolous had a few surprises up his sleeves. Starting with his “Ready” collaboration with Chris Brown, Loso brought his “Life Is So Exciting” tour to Summer Jam as Pusha T appeared on Sunday night. The energy went up another level as Meek Mill followed up with his Dreamchasers 2 club banger “Racked Up Shawty.” The big moment during Fab’s set was Lil’ Kim, who blazed the stage with her 1996 Hardcore single “Queen Bi**h.” Foxy Brown was scheduled to appear after, but ended up a no show on stage.
Staten Island was in the building as the group who opened Summer Jam 20 years ago returned on Sunday night. Wu-Tang Clan gave the new school a lesson on old school classics at MetLife Stadium. Even members of the Wu’s future including Ol’ Dirty Bastard and Method Man’s sons made appearances
At Summer Jam 2012, 2 Chainz appeared as a guest during both Young Jeezy and Big Sean’s sets. This year, he returned with a solo set going through his list of ratchet trap anthems. His biggest guest of the evening was none other than Nicki Minaj, that’s right Nicki returned to Hot 97 Summer Jam to perform “I Luv Dem Strippers.”
A$AP Mob invaded Summer Jam as A$AP Rocky made his official debut at MetLife Stadium on Sunday night. With a short time to work with, Rocky went through various cuts off his LongLiveA$AP debut album. After teasing fans with a special appearance from classic 90s artist, A$AP Rocky brought out Bone Thugs-N-Harmony’s Layzie Bone, Bizzy Bone and Wishbone for “Thuggish Ruggish Bone.”
From rocking the Hot 97 Summer Jam festival stage earlier that day, A$AP Ferg brought his “Work” remix with guests Trinidad James and ScHoolboy Q.
Kendrick Lamar confirmed why he’s hip-hop’s new star at Summer Jam last night. The face of TDE commanded MetLife Stadium in the rain running through cuts off his good kid, m.A.A.d city major-label debut album. Keeping it in the family, K.Dot called on Jay Rock, Ab-Soul, and ScHoolboy Q during his 27-minute set.
Somehow Papoose made an appearance on the Summer Jam stage shortly after Kendrick Lamar and TDE exited. Getting right to the music, Papoose performed his single “Get At Me” and made sure viewers worldwide remembered his wife Remy Ma.
Closing out this year’s event was French Montana. Before his set was shut down because of weather concerns, the Coke Boys general had the sold-out crowd of 60,000 rocking to a medley of club favorites. Chinx Drugz, Rick Ross, and Lil’ Wayne all made guest appearances before the cut during “Ain’t Worried About Nothin.”

Pusha T Drops Name of Second LP Before The First Is Released

Even after sharing the release date — July 16 — for his debut solo album, My Name Is My Name, yesterday, Pusha T is already looking ahead to his sophomore effort. In a new interview with AskMen, the G.O.O.D. Music Golden Child announced that his next album will be titled King Push. He added that he’s “already got the whole mentality of it” — an approach that might just make it feature-less.
SK: What else is on the horizon for you? Another G.O.O.D. Music compilation album?
PT: I really don’t know. I’m really on My Name Is My Name, and then my next album after that. I already got the whole mentality of it. I see it. It’s titled King Push. I don’t even think there’s going to be anybody on King Push.
SK: I like that. No features.
PT: Zero
New Music: Pusha T – Numbers On The Boards
Posted: April 11, 2013 in G.O.O.D. Music, new music, Pusha TMoments ago, Kanye West sent the internet into a frenzy by tweeting, “Our family Hov brought that real hip hop shit this morning so me and Pusha wanna keep that feeling going,” in response to Jay’s monster new record, “Open Letter.” And within minutes, we have the result. We might as well hand this Thursday (hell, the whole week) to The Throne.
At the end of the concluding track ‘I Am Forgiven’ Pusha T says, “This is just the appetizer”. But off the strength of this tape alone, I’m not sure if I want the entrée.
Ever since I heard ‘Got Caught Dealin’ and followed up with Lord Willin’, I was inspired to push. The Clipse is to hustlin’ what UGK was to pimpin’. Album after album, to all the Till’ The Casket Drop tapes, I hung onto every word, every intonation, every pause, in hopes of finding their secret to their uncanny and eloquent presentation of their lifestyle.
It was hard to hear a track by the Virginia duo and not want to push. Even when “Malice found religion” Pusha attempted to continue to spit. Even at his worst, Pusha T is still one of the most solid and consistent lyricists currently in the game. But for some reason when I bump Wrath of Cocaine, I’m not that impressed.
What draws me to Pusha is his raw, disgustingly disrespectful, cocky persona that coats every track. And though this tape features tracks like the Intro, “Doesn’t Matter” and maybe “Only You Can Tell It”, outside of decent word-play and a handful of punch lines that make you chuckle, this tape isn’t something that I find myself skipping all the tracks on my iPhone to bump.
The title ‘Wrath of Cocaine’ may not accurately portrays what this tape is about. The title implies an overwhelming amount of anger but instead, it only reasonably discusses the very thing that defines Pusha T: gettin’ his money all the while not givin’ a fuck. I wish he went a little harder; I’m trynna be inspired again to drop out and Push. Maybe it’s a sign that The Clipse apart just isn’t the same.

Posted: February 10, 2013 in G.O.O.D. Music, mmg, Pusha T, rick rossPusha T recently related some exciting news concerning a new musical venture to MTV News. The G.O.O.D. Music emcee revealed that he’s been discussing the idea for a new Clipse album with his brother, No Malice.
“We owe our fans something special,” Pusha T said of the project, which is entitled “As God Is My Witness.”
“When it comes to the Clipse, that’s a special brand to me. Me and Malice talk about doing a Clipse album,” he said. “I’m not into toyin’ around with that, like just dropping records that ain’t related to an album. We owe our fans something super special, so when it’s time to do that, we just gonna zone in and focus in on that.”
Pusha is currently readying his solo debut, entitled “My Name is My Name.”
