Rihanna turns into Medusa on British GQ’s 25th anniversary cover. To celebrate, the magazine pairs one of today’s biggest pop stars with highly acclaimed artist Damien Hirst. The two creatives come together for one fierce project as Rihanna poses topless covered in various snakes. “Medusa head on me like I’m ‘luminati!!!! She. x Damien Hirst #GQ #25thAnniversary #COVER,” says Rihanna when revealing the cover on Instagram, quoting Drake’s lyrics on Migo’s “Versace” remix.
The 25th anniversary special issue of British GQ hits newsstands on October 31.

176095 Rihanna’s ratchet ways have some feminist activists in a huff, including the former president of the Girls Association, Dr. Helen Wright.

“No matter how much people may talk about its artistic merit, it nonetheless objectifies and therefore demeans women by casting them in the mould of whore. Teenagers are impressionable; this video feeds them the same old ugly story of female enslavement, not emancipation or equality.

“Parents should object and do their best to prevent their children from seeing it; even better would be for Rihanna herself to recognise the responsibility she has as a public figure to promote positive and healthy images of women, and to stop selling out, under cover of ‘art’, to commercial interests which demean women.”

Miranda Suit of Safermedia, a charity that crusades against sex and violence in the media, posits that Rihanna’s actions are detrimental to children.

“[Rihanna’s] crude, tasteless and explicit dancing, combined with the money-focused lyrics, are telling all her fans – many of them still children – that it is good for women and girls to sell their body, and right for men and boys to see women purely as a sexual commodity.

“Rihanna has sold out completely to the commercialisation and objectification of women’s bodies and their sexuality. And now she’s promoting it to girls and boys.”

After Rihanna’s “Pour It Up” video was eternally delayed due to “creative differences” with the previous director, the bad gwal finally lets loose with the final product. It’s definitely everything that was teased in the various BTS clips. RiRi lets it all hang out as a crew of strippers work the pole, but she also has some NSFW moves of her own. After music, she definitely could have a burgeoning career at King of Diamonds.

The original had women singing worldwide, and the remix will have female listeners screaming louder. A day after performing at Hot 97 Summer Jam, Wale debuts the official remix to his single “Bad.” Rihanna takes over where Tiara Thomas left off displaying a unique combo of sex appeal and sadness as she states “Hood girls just want a real n***a.” RiRi does double duty by singing and rapping on the unofficial ladies anthem taking over radio. Rumors swirled, and it’s finally here. Rihanna gets the drinks flowing some more on the official remix to her current club smash, “Pour It Up.” RiRi rounds up an all-star cast of Young Jeezy, Rick Ross, T.I., and Juicy J for this second round. The song carries a few storylines, as it marks the first time in recent years that current foes Jeezy and Ricky Rozay have appeared on the same record together.

Rihanna bares all in her new video “Stay,” the emotional single off her chart-topping Unapologetic album. Fresh off performing the song alongside co-star Mikky Ekko at Sunday night’s Grammy Awards, RiRi keeps the visual simple as she stays cold in a bathtub throughout the Sophie Muller-directed clip.

Rihanna was quick to show she’s still got plenty of love for Chris Brown by accompanying him to his probation-violation hearing on Wednesday — a case stemming from his 2009 assault on her.

According to TMZ, Rihanna blew Brown a kiss before the two walked out of the courthouse arm-in-arm. Chris was at court to determine if he actually fulfilled his community service obligations as part of his probation, but the judge said that more time was needed to go over the evidence.

Brown was instructed to meet with his probation officer within 48 hours regarding allegations that he failed to complete his court-ordered 180 hours of community service.

What do you think of Rihanna standing by Chris Brown?

Early this morning, Rollingstone unleashed their latest cover with Rihanna striking a sexy pose. While they didn’t give up the cover story just yet, RS dropped a few snippets from editor Josh Eels convo with RihRih. As you guessed, the quotes revolve around her current relationship with Chris. But she also made some interesting comments about on if she fears if he’ll ever get violent with her again. This of course was before the Frank Ocean fight. Catch that part after the jump.

“I decided it was more important for me to be happy,” she tells contributing editor Josh Eells in the new issue of Rolling Stone, out Friday, January 31st. “I wasn’t going to let anybody’s opinion get in the way of that. Even if it’s a mistake, it’s my mistake. After being tormented for so many years, being angry and dark, I’d rather just live my truth and take the backlash. I can handle it.”

“When you add up the pieces from the outside, it’s not the cutest puzzle in the world,” Rihanna says. “You see us walking somewhere, driving somewhere, in the studio, in the club, and you think you know. But it’s different now. We don’t have those types of arguments anymore. We talk about shit. We value each other. We know exactly what we have now, and we don’t want to lose that.”

And Rihanna says that if Brown were ever to display a hint of his past behavior towards her, she is ready to walk. “He doesn’t have the luxury of fucking up again,” she says. “That’s just not an option. I can’t say that nothing else will ever go wrong. But I’m pretty solid in the knowing that he’s disgusted by that. And I wouldn’t have gone this far if I ever thought that was a possibility.”

Shortly after promoting her debut feature film “Battleship” Rihanna is already moving on to another movie set in New Orleans.

The pop princess tweeted her fans, revealing she was in New Orleans filming a new movie with all of her “fave comedians” in one room.

Rumor has it that Rihanna is currently filming The End of the World, a comedy that takes place at James Franco’s house and things get hilarious when Seth Rogan, Emma Watson and other celebs are faced with the apocalypse.

The movie is set to be released May 2013, and is sure to be a good time!

There may be a lot of chatter going on about her personal life but she came through for her Dave Myers-directed visuals, “Where Have You Been.”

Rihanna and Jay-Z will be the two headline acts in the popular music lineup for the London 2012 Olympic Games.

The pair will star in the BBC Radio 1 Hackney Weekend 2012 (June 23-24) a month before the Games, said organizers of the Olympics cultural festival, releasing the program at a news conference today. Comedians Stephen Fry and Tim Minchin will be among other entertainers cropping up in venues across Britain.

“There will be absolutely something for everyone: from Beethoven to Jay-Z, from Shakespeare to Mike Leigh,” Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt said at the news conference in the Tower of London. Leigh is a film director.

The festival organizers conveyed the size and scope of the event.

“The London 2012 Festival will be the biggest cultural celebration in our lifetime,” said Royal Opera House Chief Executive Tony Hall, who chairs the Cultural Olympiad board.

Hall said more than 18 million people had already taken part in 9,000 performances and almost as many workshops.

The U.K. is rolling out dozens of arts events around the Games, which run from July 27 to Aug. 12. Some have been long planned and some commissioned as part of a four-year, 97 million pound ($157 million) cultural program.

Other headliners of Hackney Weekend — set to draw an estimated 100,000 fans — are Florence + the Machine, Jack White, David Guetta and Tinie Tempah.

A couple of weeks ago Rihanna was spotted heading to a New York restaurant wearing a black mesh see-through shirt with no bra. There was no imagination needed to see the singer’s exposed breasts, she even joked with photographers the next day by asking “did you see my t*tties?”

Apparently it’s OK for her to be seen out in public showing off her bitties, but don’t expect Riri to appear in Playboy anytime soon.

“My mother would kill me if I posed nude! My mother raised me with certain standards,” Rihanna told Mondanite magazine.

The “We Found Love” singer does admit her sense of style can be on the daring side.

“My way probably won’t work for most people, but the more I got naked the more comfortable I felt. I just have to face my fear,” she said. “You always find something wrong, you always find something you’re uncomfortable with. One thing turns into another and you get embarrassed and self-conscious about it – you feel like everybody can see what you see.”

Anther YMCMB joint released last night as Drake drops the official music video for his song with Rihanna.

Rihanna gets the May cover of Elle Magazine. In addition to posing for several sexy photos, Riri opens up about Chris Brown, having kids and more.

On her breakup with Chris Brown: “It gave me guns. I was like, well, f*ck. They know more about me than I want them to know. It’s embarrassing. But that was my opening. That was my liberation, my moment of bring it. Now you know that, so you can say what you want about it. I don’t have anything to hide.”

On the backlash over their reconciliation:
“The bottom line is that everyone thinks differently. It’s very hard for me to accept, but I get it. People end up wasting their time on the blogs or whatever, ranting away, and that’s all right. Because tomorrow I’m still going to be the same person. I’m still going to do what I want to do.”

On having kids: “It could be tomorrow. It could be 20 years from now. I just feel like when the time is right, God will send me a little angel. But first, of course, I have to find a man. I mean, there’s a very important missing piece to the puzzle here!”

On finding that man:
“I feel like it’s hard foreverybody! I don’t think it has anything to do with being famous. There’s just a major drought out there. But I just need to find the person who balances me out, because then things like my schedule won’t matter. I’ve done it before, so I know I can do it again.”

Most father’s would be more than upset if they found out their daughter had been physically assaulted by their boyfriend, but Rihanna’s dad seems to be a little out of the ordinary.

Ronald Fenty told the latest issue of Heat Magazine that he’s OK with his daughter getting cozy with Chris Brown again.

“Chris is a nice guy and everybody’s entitled to make mistakes in their life – God knows how many I’ve made. She’s her own woman now,” Ronald Fenty said.

Fenty, who accompanied his daughter to the 54th Annual Grammy Awards also took credit for her slim figure.

“I actually thought she was a little fat the last time I saw her,” he said. “When I saw her at this year’s Grammys, I thought she was back to her normal size. I used to joke with her, ‘Robyn, you’re getting too fat.’ But I think she’s fine. I think she looked excellent, as everyone saw, at the Grammys. She’s dieting, she’s working out.”

Whitney Houston’s life story will be coming to a movie screen near you in the very near future if record executive Clive Davis has his way.

Davis was instrumental in guiding Houston’s career to superstardom and he wants her to be remembered in the proper manner.

Rihanna is reportedly the front runner for the role according to the Daily Mail. Other stars being considered are Jennifer Hudson, Vivica Fox and Jordin Sparks.

11-year old Willow Smith is being considered to play the legendary singer as a child.

Rihanna celebrates her birthday by unleashing the official remix we’ve all been waiting for her Talk That Talk cut, “Birthday Cake.”
