2K Sports has released an extended next-gen trailer for NBA 2K14 offering the most significant look at the game yet. Scheduled to release on launch day for the PlayStation 4 (November 15) and Xbox One (November 22) 2K14 still has yet to have any features detailed. In a little less than three weeks, thousands of gamers are going to be spending a lot of time in front of the television playing “Grand Theft Auto V.”
If your memory serves you correct, last year, Jay-Z held down executive producer duties for the soundtrack to the video game NBA 2K13. This year, the 2K Sports team enlisted the NBA Final’s MVP, LeBron James, to handle the music on this year’s title and we must say we’re rather surprised. Bron Bron definitely added that Summer touch with Billboard smash hits like “Started From The Bottom,” “Blurred Lines” and “Can’t Hold Us,” but he also got random with it by sprnkling a few unsigned artists and alternative tracks (Phil Collins, we see you) we never expected.
Other notable picks by James include Kendrick Lamar’s “Now Or Never” from GKMC and gems from Kanye West, Jadakiss, Jay-Z, Eminem & Big K.R.I.T.
Back in June, it was revealed that the dynamic point guard for the Cavs, Kyrie Irving, would be on the cover of the EA Sports’ NBA LIVE 14 for Playstation 4 and Xbox One. Today, EA Sports revealed what the cover will look like for the much-anticipated 2014 version of the game, which is set to hit stores this fall.
Rockstar finally released some game play footage for Grand Theft Auto V. The first trailers the company put out were to introduce the 3 main characters. In this latest trailer you get to see actual game action. Grand Theft Auto V is scheduled to hit stores September 17, 2013.
With a November launch date and $499 price announced for the Xbox One, retailers Amazon and Best Buy have now started taking pre-orders for the Xbox One.
The Amazon listing indicates a November 30th release, but that date could act as a placeholder until Microsoft announces the specific day.
Best Buy is dubbing the pre-order as the “Xbox One: Day 1 Edition.”
Included in this Day 1 bundle, an Amazon listing includes a few items that will come with the console. Every console bundle will come with a Kinect sensor and 500GB of memory, but day one adopters will receive a limited edition controller, premium packaging, decal and code to unlock a Day One Achievement.
In a report from Siliconera, the Day 1 Edition will include some game specific items as well.
Ryse: Son of Rome – Exclusive multiplayer map and sword with bonus attributes.
Forza Motorsport 5 – Access to four cars tuned to the top of their class.
Kinect Sports Rivals – Exclusive sporting equipment that separates your Champion from the rest of the world.

LeBron James played the first game of fourth NBA Finals last night in which he recorded a triple double. Unfortunately, that wasn’t enough to overpower western conference foes, the San Antonio Spurs, from stealing homecourt advantage. Game 2 is slated for Sunday night and surely Miami hopes to even the series 1-1. But until James regains our focus this weekend, here’s a little filler. The leagues MVP has been tapped to cover the most popular basketball game around, 2K Sports “2K14.”
Sony has announced during the 15th anniversary event for Gran Turismo that it will be releasing Gran Turismo 6. The new game will be availble for PlayStation 3 by the end of this year. No word yet if it will included the future game console PS4. Check out the concept video below that was released at the event.
A slew of lucky gamers got to see the official unveiling of Metal Gear Solid 5 at the Game Developer’s Conference yesterday. The trailer for the series, which was created Hideo Kojima, is already generating a lot of buzz around the world as fans quickly realize that the two previously expected games, Ground Zero and Phantom Pain are in fact one woven together in this one release, with the former actually set-up as a prologue of MGS V, which is followed up (in game play) 9 years after the fact in The Phantom Pain.
Today at the Electronic Entertainment Expo Nintendo officially announced their latest video game system, the Nintendo Wii U. Expected to be released during the fourth quarter of 2012 the console is Nintendo’s sixth home console and the first Nintendo console to produce 1080p high-definition graphics. As previewed earlier, the new controller features an embedded 6.2-inch LCD touchscreen that allows a player to continue playing certain games by displaying the game even when the TV is off. The system also supports the original Wii Remotes and games.
